Official Intelligence ("we," "us," "our") makes games and experiments, including TANTЯO and Circuitousness. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of our website (official-intelligence.art), our games, and our related back-end services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Who We Are
The Services are operated by Christopher Ryan Deardorff, an independent developer based in the United States, doing business as Official Intelligence. You can reach us any time at privacy@official-intelligence.art.
Eligibility
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. By using the Services you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live), or that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
License to Use the Services
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play our games and use our website for your own non-commercial entertainment. The games are free to play; we do not sell the Services and there is nothing to purchase to play.
Acceptable Use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- Cheat, tamper with, automate, or manipulate scores, leaderboards, or replays;
- Submit leaderboard names or other content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or that impersonates another person;
- Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our servers, accounts, or security measures, or interfere with other players' use of the Services;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Services except as permitted by law;
- Use the Services to break any applicable law or to infringe anyone's rights.
We may remove content, reset scores, or suspend access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
Leaderboards & Player-Submitted Content
When you submit a score, you choose a display name (you may submit as "Anonymous") and your run may be recorded so it can be replayed. Leaderboard names and replays for top-ranked runs are publicly visible. Do not include personal information you do not want shown publicly. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and reproduce that content as part of operating the Services. You are responsible for what you submit.
Accounts
You can play without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may ask us to delete your account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
The Services — including the games, code, artwork, music, names, and logos — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, these Terms do not grant you any rights in our content. Some assets are provided by third parties under their own licenses.
Third-Party Platforms & Links
Our games may also be distributed on third-party platforms (for example itch.io or Google Play) and may link to third-party sites. Those platforms and sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Because the Services are provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services, in whole or in part, at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services or other users.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected here. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
